Today was, once again, advertising by cablecom in the mailbox. I find always interesting. The offer for the Internet would be already very tempting, although the reputation of cablecom is not so tremendously good. I'm not even so sure if I would like that.
About two years ago I made me even smart on the Internet. At that time, I would have gotten almost everything to my address. TV at its best, but no high speed Internet. I do not quite understand this. I get digital TV with HDTV of but no Internet? OK. I must not understand well.
Nevertheless I wanted to today, check after the review of advertising, whether I in between Internet could get to my address. So a subscription "Fiber power Internet 20 or 50" hovers before me.
But here it begins with the usability. When I open the page with the offers I want to check it as soon as possible if I could also get the offer to my address. And I would like to without having to search long. I find anything, only no mention of an availability test. But it could definitely be intention. Only I feel as vastly veräppelt. So continue to go with find.
Yes sometimes, you could check with cablecom. Just like email. So a click on "contact". Since, but only as a small, useless window goes on with many phone numbers. But no EMail. "All contact information", sounds good. Just tons of phone numbers. However, there is an "online contact form" which can be on the right side.
What then appears but is not the expected form. This is a click orgy. I want only questions whether Internet available is with me.
So, click on "product information", click on the "cablecom hispeed internet" and... Yes there, but the requested link comes to light. The "check availability" means. Exactly what I've been looking, quite a few clicks.
And then, then it gets all beautiful. The contrast of the input fields is indeed tremendous. Light grey font on a white background. Normals TextBox with black edge and text would have completely served.

I am indeed not yet old. I see relatively well with glasses. But this is just weak. You can not read Yes almost. The, and the impossible achieving of the availability tests, is for me very bad usability.
It then but found what I was looking for, but the result is not satisfied me.

No Internet, no digital phone but for TV, which simply does not interest me. Oh well. Perhaps some other time. The function is perhaps better to achieve in one year.
