The MOSS is the ability to edit lists in an Excel moderate table. Then, you can easily edit the fields without clicking through any what menus.
But for me that wanted to work anymore. I Yes Office 2007 Pro with access on it. And that should definitely enough.
The following error occurred.
The list can appear in Datasheet view one or more reasons:
-It is not a compatible to Windows SharePoint Services data sheet control installed
-Your Web browser supports no Active X controls
-Support for Active-X controls is disabled
None of the points met for me. My colleague SharePoint sent me then a link where you can find a possible solution.

The delete the registry folder has helped me. After restarting Internet Explorer 8, it worked again with the list view.
You delete this folder (of course at your own risk)
