by Roland Schumacher alias GENiALi 1. Juli 2008 -- 185 words  -- 1 mal gelesen

For some time, I now work on Vista. Is as far as also fun.
Up to a little thing.

At the start of a solution is the following error message.
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException

Not's what really further brings one. So what am I?

Search for some I am longer, coincidentally, of the cause
stumbled upon.

The cause was always a Web project. The reason for this is as follows
Setting in the Web project.

All projects that use the IIS directly come up with this message.

There are two solutions.

  1. Visual Studio 2008 "run as Administrator". This is just plain expensive
as one additional dialogs away may click / must and if it it times
sheds, then is it again from scratch.
Perhaps there is also a parameter that does that automatically. Do not know.
But the solution 2 eh better suit me.
  2. To turn off the UAC.
Control Panel-> user accounts-> "User account control on or turn off"
Then you will not repeatedly harassed with the UAC, it is Admin and
So, as I hope it does Visual Studio 2008.

However, for any reason the UAC was invented Yes. Harassment? :-)
